New Books from Kaffe Fassett, Amy Butler and Lisa Lam

At the recent Festival of Quilts we were very fortunate to have three new books launched on our stand. We have signed copies available now of Kaffe Fassett's Quilts En Provence, Amy Butler's Style Stitches and Lisa Lam's Bag Making Bible.

Kaffe Fassett's Quilts En Provence is photographed in the colourful and picturesque town of Roussillon in the South of France and makes a fantastic backdrop for a stunning collection of 20 new quilt designs from Kaffe and his chosen team of designers.

Celebrated designer Amy Butler's most coveted products are her handbag sewing patterns. In Style Stitches, Butler presents an array of new bag designs for her fans across the globe. The book offers 12 basic patterns with enough variations to achieve 26 unique looks. Ranging from chic clutches and delicate wristlets to pretty hobo bags and handy coin purses.

Festival of Quilts 2010 Roundup

Well the Festival of Quilts at the NEC has just finished and everything is starting to get back to normal. We had a great time at the show but are now all thoroughly exhausted. As usual it is chance to catch up with many of our customers and familiar faces that we see year after year. Our only regret is that we get so little time to admire the fantastic quilts that are on show. I managed to sneak away for half an hour on Sunday and got a glimpse of the Best in Show Winner, a truly magnificent Miniature Quilt. All at The Cotton Patch would especially like to thank Mark, Suzanne and Chad Hyland from Handi Quilter who came over from America to help launch and demonstrate the Handi Quilter 18" Avante and the 16" Sitdown Handi Quilter.
