Darwin D. Bearley of Akron, Ohio had the good sense to form his collection of Ohio Amish quilts when superb examples were still available, and to keep it intact. Through it we can now have the pleasure of seeing and understanding how Amish women, over a number of decades, produced the body of work that is one of America's great home-grown triumphs.

This lavishly illustrated volume is the exhibition guide to the Bernina sponsored exhibitions at the Bodensee Quiltfestival, Germany and the Patchwork Expo in Lyon, France. 160 pages packed with flat shots of the quilts from the exhibition collected by Darwin Bearly since the 1970's.
