The majority of our patchwork quilting fabrics are 100% cotton with a nominal width of 112cm. Our normal fabric material cut off the bolt is cut in 25cm wide increments which is also called a Long Quarter. We also stock a large amount of fat quarter packs. In the UK we call it patchwork quilting with the patchwork being the construction of patchwork pieces that form the top of the three layer quilt sandwich with the inner wadding and the bottom quilt backing. All of this is then held in place by the quilt stitching which often forms decorative patterns. In the US, and therefore the term favoured by Google and other search engines then the term quilting is mainly used without the patchwork.
