Choose which Grace Frame is suitable for you using these simple questions
1) Does the frame need to be regularly moved from where it will stand, or be stored away?
Yes) While the Metal Pinnacle frames can be dismantled, this is not a quick and easy option. You need to select a wooden frame - go to question 4.
No) Got to Question 2.
2) Is it essential that you use your existing sewing machine that does not have, or is not compatible with, a speed control?
Yes) The Metal Pinnacle frames only operate with sewing machines that have a speed control. You need to select a wooden frame - go to question 4.
No) Go to question 3.
3) Do you have a preference for the look of a wood or a metal machine.
Yes) Some prefer wood because it is a more natural product (it can be stained). Others prefer the hi-tech and smart look of metal. Go to question 4 if you prefer wood and question 5 if you prefer metal.
No) You still have an open choice. Read through the remaining questions before making your decision.
4) Wooden Frames- will you ever want to quilt up to 120" (King size)?
Yes) You should choose the GMQ Pro
No) The Little Grace II which quilts up to 90" would be suitable if you are looking for a frame that takes up less space and/or costs less.
5) Metal Frames- will you ever want to quilt up to 120" (King size)?
Yes) You should choose the King Pinnacle.
No) The Queen Piinacle which quilts up to 100" would be suitable if you are looking for a a frame that takes up less space and/or costs less.
6) Are some sewing machines better than others on a machine quilting frame?
The longer the freearm the greater the area that can be quilted before moving to the next section of the quilt. We recommend the Pfaff GrandQuilter because it is a straight stitch machine with a larger working area (22.5 x 15cm). It also has a thread cutter that cuts on the top and bottom of the quilt at the touch of a button and can operate with the speed control.
