100% water soluble chalk, no dyes or wax added, flows smoothly across fabric, produces long‐lasting fine lines. Avoid dropping Pencils on hard surfaces. This can cause the chalk to shatter.

I ordered a no.of products from The Cotton Patch to help with my new interest in Sashiko.Everything else in my order was grand apart from the pencil. The pencil arrived unsharpened.I began to sharpen the pencil.It broke again and again.The lead had obviously broken in transit.Bubblewrap next time?

Anonymous -I am new to quilting and was looking for an alternative marker to the one I am using which is a little like a felt tip. Nice narrow lines but seems to leave a residue of colour on the fabric. The Chalk pencil cannot be sharpened to a fine point as it breaks all the time.
