The new Emery Walker's House fabrics from The Original Morris & Co for Free Spirit have now arrived. Inspired by the love between friends and the legacy of a truly historic home, Emery Walker's House Collection from Morris & Co introduces new designs and colourways. Heritage tones of greens and blues come to the fore, with warm russets accenting the designs. Meditating on the creative power of friendship as well as the legacies of the Arts & Crafts homes, 19th-century designs inspired by archive classics make for a captivating and historic fabric range.
We have fifteen quilting fabrics by the metre as well as a charm pack, fat quarter bundle and 10" patchwork palette. We filled all of the places for the Garden Pathways Quilt Kit but it is available for pre-order once again for delivery at the end of January when more stock of the William Morris classics used in the quilt will be available. There is a £25 deposit and a balance of £250.95 to pay on despatch.
Emery Walker was a key member of the Arts & Crafts movement and friend of William Morris, Jane Morris and their daughter May. Founder of Dove's Press and instrumental in the typography of and creation of Kelmscott Press. The House in London has been preserved as a museum and can be visited today. Visit emerywalker.org.uk for some fantastic photos of the house and interiors and lots of details about Emery Walker.
