Aurifil 50 weight thread on 1300m spool. Aurifil’s 50wt thread is the most versatile and popular of their Cotton threads.
It is wonderful for piecing, subtle quilting & topstitching, and English Paper Piecing. The long staple Mako' of mercerised Egyptian cotton is very smooth, and strong thus making it great as basic patchwork piecing thread. 50 weight thread indicated by the orange spool colour.

I am an Aurifil convert and needed a red to quilt my Kaffe Fassett kit quilt. Matching colours is difficult online but the colour shown was a true reflection of the colour I needed. I am delighted with it and with the customer service offered by Cotton Patch.
