Aurifil 50 weight thread on 1300m spool. Aurifil’s 50wt thread is the most versatile and popular of their Cotton threads.
It is wonderful for piecing, subtle quilting & topstitching, and English Paper Piecing. The long staple Mako' of mercerised Egyptian cotton is very smooth, and strong thus making it great as basic patchwork piecing thread. 50 weight thread indicated by the orange spool colour.

Lovely thread
I started using Aurifil thread a little while ago and find it's excellent for piecing and applique. Super quaklity and plenty of colours to choose from, too.

Great for quilting
This is my go to thread for quilting. From one spool of thread I’ve pieced and quilted a double and single quilt, two large wall hangings and a couple of bags. The thread is good and strong.
