Dahlia Squared Up Pattern by Angela Attwood
£9.55
In Stock.
A fully illustrated step‐by‐step instruction booklet by Angie Attwood, part of the Squared Up Series. Use singularly on a cushion, bag or stitch multiples to make a table runner or quilt.
Dahlia looks impressive but is not complex to stitch and the Spin e fex 10 templates are very easy to use. A similar effect can also be achieved with any curved templates which make petal shapes. The design is illustrated at 12 inches square but can be modified very easily to fit larger squares just by moving the corners out, creating a little more space around the centre piece. My TempLee Quilted sample is rectangular so I simply repeated the design to the edges. The design can also be simplified should you prefer less dense quilting, simply stitch fewer rotations.
These instructions cover how to stitch the design within a 12" square. You will need: Westalee Design Template Set Spin‐e‐fex and a fabric sandwich approx 15" x 15".
"When new to ruler work, large projects can often feel intimidating. Small projects are perfect practice pieces, help build your confidence and improve your technique. I hope this pattern will also inspire you to play with design ‐ don’t be afraid to go off‐piste and add your own modifications when the inspiration strikes!" ‐ Angie Attwood
