The Psychedelic Woodland Collection: Wise Owl 36" panel

The Psychedelic Woodland Collection features three different animals, which are pre-printed on the panel.
All of the fabric required is printed on each individual panel as well as the main piece to ‘fill’ with the fabric as desired. Comprehensive instructions are also written on each of the panels along with an image showing a suggested finish.
Create this colourful applique using an innovative panel created by Delphine Brooks for Lewis & Irene. The digitally printed panel is approximately 91cm x 110cm and creates a 17 1/2" by 32 1/2" piece.
each panel has a selection of elements - abstract squares and flora motifs, for you to choose. Cut them out, back them with fusible webbing and embellish the panel to your liking. The panels can be further enhanced with hand or machine embroidery.
You will also need half a metre of double-sided fusible webbing to bond the fabrics to the template (we recommend Steam-a-Seam 2 or Heat n Bond Lite - you can find these here) Here is a summary of the instructions printed on the panel,
Delphine has designed a further 3 panels that offer small squares of lots of different colours and designs, which can be used to further enlarge the panels to make larger quilts. See 9879-14, 15 and 16
1) Trace over each section using a permanent pen onto the glue side of the fusible.
2) Roughly cut out the pattern pieces and iron to the wrong side (back) of the chosen fabric and then neatly cut out.
3) Peel the backing from the pattern piece and lay onto the correct section of the design and press into place.
4) Sew around each section using a matching thread (blanket, zig zag or satin sticth works best).
5) Create a quilt sandwich with your choice of wadding and backing fabric and quilt as desired
