Schemetz Super Universal non stick sewing machines needles are designed for use when sewing with embroidery stabiliser, temporary spray adhesive multi media quilting, vinyl or self adhesive hook and loop tape. The Super Universal Needles feature a non‐stick coating of NIT (Nickel‐Phosphor‐PTFE). Extra‐large eye is suitable for embroidery work.
The eye corresponds to a needle two sizes larger (i.e., the 70/10 NonStick eye is similar to a size 90/14 regular Universal eye). Distinctive scarf with the special design of the eye ensures prevention of skipped stitches. Slightly rounded point provides trouble‐free sewing on most materials. Strong conical blade reinforcement easily handles thick fabrics like denim. If stitching on light or white fabrics or threads, test first for excess residue.

I have been using these needles alot for my quilting work. works a real treat. Especially for thicker sandwich quilting work it works such a breeze on freemotion quilting. Especially for Applique work where I have glue work on it . not problems with needles gumming or sticking or having residue on
