Kaffe Fassett fabrics are one of the most popular patchwork fabric ranges in the world. Kaffe is famous for the vivid colourisation of his designs that can make a finished patchwork quilt really stand out. Kaffe and fellow designers Brandon Mably and Philip Jacobs formed the Kaffe Fassett Collective. They each produce designs but share a common colourisation palette. You can find all of Kaffe's fabric designs below as well as a range of Stripes, Shot Cotton Plains, Quilt Kits and packs. Kaffe Fassett and Patchwork Quilting Fabrics
Born in San Francisco, Kaffe Fassett settled in England in 1964 and worked as an artist. On a trip to Scotland he stumbled on an irresistible collection of coloured yarns. A few months later he was hooked and proceeded to knit and stitch himself a career. The Kaffe Fassett fabric range started with G01, his famous Roman Glass design, and each year he adds more designs. Kaffe's fabrics are currently produced under the Free Spirit label (previously it was Rowan or Westminster Fibres which you may find on the selvedge). You can find Kaffe Collective fabrics organised by design here
The Kaffe Fassett Fabric Collection from Free Spirit now extends to hundreds of patchwork and quilting fabrics ranging from wonderful woven stripes and checks to bold and colourful prints. The Cotton Patch stock a huge variety of Kaffe Fassett fabrics and fabric packs. We also provide patchwork quilt kits using Kaffe's fabrics or quilts that he has designed.
The Kaffe Fassett Collective is a joint enterprise between Kaffe and fellow designers Brandon Mably and Philip Jacobs and is the most successful collaboration within patchwork and quilting.
